The Local Fest, organized by PlanNorth Architectural Co. and board members for the new nonprofit group, The Local Fund, hosted performances from Brenham’s own Ryann Elise, Kody West and headliner Easton Corbin. Guests were also able to enjoy food and beverages from local vendors and participate in a pitch tournament.
Katie Burch and her board of directors for PlanNorth Architecture’s Local Fund have planned for the Local Fest since the start of the year. Her team had to plan for every detail, including which artists would play the event as well as operational areas such as renting the Washington County Expo, security and more.
PlanNorth Principal Architect Katie Burch, speaking during this week’s KWHI Community Corner, said Local Fest was created as a way to mark PlanNorth’s 15-year anniversary and do something special for those who have supported the firm and the community.
PlanNorth Architectural Co. is turning 15, and the business is skipping the standard office party in favor of something much louder.
Renovations to the county administration building at 200 S. Texas Ave., Bryan, are part of the county’s Capital Improvement Program with $18.5 million budgeted from the capital improvement fund, per the capital improvement plan for fiscal years 2026-30.
The Monday before Thanksgiving was the start of the projected $17 million dollar renovation of the Brazos County administration building.
