Fay Janes-Busse was born and raised in Washington County. She started her career upon high school graduation as a Jailer at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. Serving the community for decades, Fay has held the roles of Transport Deputy, Patrol Division, Patrol Sergeant, and Sergeant School Resource Officer. She holds a Master Peace Officer License and a Mental Health Officer Certificate through the State of Texas. “Officer Fay” as the locals refer to her, fiercely advocates for youth and family education with respect to substance abuse and mental health. Through relationships of integrity, she works every day to create support systems for children and those less fortunate.
